On my way to the culvert, where the water from our marsh flows under the road and into the western side marsh, I spied a visitor.
I was hoping to catch some of the turtles, who have chosen the sandy sides of the road to lay their eggs.
Instead, just as I entered the low spot, this guy waddled across the road,

and waddled back home.
